Bluetooth 3.0: Broad Device Compatibility
Bluetooth 3.0 with HID Profile v1.0 is the standard protocol used by keyboards across all major operating systems — iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS all recognise the virtual keyboard as a standard input device without additional drivers or configuration. The Surface Requirement: What You Need to Know
The laser keyboard requires an opaque, non-reflective flat surface to function correctly — the infrared detection that registers keystrokes needs a surface that doesn’t scatter or reflect the laser projection in a way that confuses the sensor. A standard office desk, a wooden table, a dark notebook cover, or a matte placemat all work well. Glossy surfaces, glass tables, and highly reflective materials don’t. This is the main practical constraint to be aware of when choosing where to use the keyboard.
